KidsFest Fun
This past weekend we took Lucy to KidsFest and met up with the Fuch's family for what we thought would be a good time. I have to say KidsFest left much to be desired but the kids had fun (which I guess is just as important:) Lucy loved the "ChooChoo" and talked about it all afternoon. She also had her first pony ride and attacked the Berenstein Bears.

Like Father Like Daughter
I keep reminding Scott that we need to start watching what we are doing as Lucy is picking up on our habits, language, and behaviors. The other day Lucy discovered the peanut butter jar and insisted eating from it with a spoon. She refused to eat it in her chair at the table and kept pointing to "daddy's chair" where she followed in Scott's peanut butter loving footsteps...

We're Back...Plus 1
It's been a very busy past few months for us at the High household. Not trying to make excuses for not blogging but trying to make myself feel better for slacking on it. New house, holidays, and a new arrival...William Edward was born on February 23rd! So far, Lucy is enjoying being a big sister and is always worried about where "her baby" is. Here are a few pictures of our last few months.

Fourth of July
We headed north to Laona for the Fourth of July weekend to celebrate with family and enjoy the beautiful weather. We drove up Thursday night and Lucy only managed to SCREAM for the last 30 minutes! Needless to say we couldn't wait to arrive. Lucy enjoyed swimming in the lake, riding on the boats and watching her cousins tube and ski. She even tried tubing herself but was very neutral about the whole experience, so thankfully I only had to tube briefly. Over the weekend she learned to new words "boat" and "dog" and let us know repeatedly that she was interested in seeing these things. She loved playing with and tackling my aunt and uncle's dog Brooke so much so that when she was on the pier, her petting led to an unexpected fall into the lake. I jumped in and got her out quickly with very few tears...hopefully that's the last time that happens! We went to the parade, played on the beach and had lots of dance parties too! It was a fantastic weekend!
