Lucy's Big Day

Okay...so we dropped the ball a little bit and FINALLY got around to getting Lucy baptized. It's been on our list of "to do's" but actually scheduling it and attending baptism class took a little while...4 months actually. Lucy was baptized at St. Sebastian's Church, where Scott and I were married and admittedly haven't been back since:( Afterwards, we had friends and relatives back to our house for a celebration luncheon.

Is this cake to celebrate her sneezing or her baptism????

4 Months of Lucy Rae

can't believe how fast time has flown by! Lucy is 4 months already...weighs just under 14 pounds and is in the 75th percentile for height. This past week she has surprised herself (and us) by rolling over from back to front. She now does this any chance she gets:) She has also graduated from her bassinet to her crib and sleeping quite well in there (knock on wood) and has had her first bout of baby food...rice cereal, yum! She wasn't a big fan at first but now gets very excited when it's time to eat. Now to only conquer the bottle...

Labor Day 2010

We headed up north to Laona for Lucy's first Labor Day! Lucy enjoyed napping on the boat while we were fishing...she didn't miss much! She hung out with her cousins, played her first game of cribbage with Grandma and Grandpa, got dressed in her new fall clothes, and roasted s'mores around the campfire. The weather was cool in the 50's and she wasn't much of a fan of putting on her fleece jacket, hat, and socks so I'm sure she's not going to be a snow bunny either! Scott enjoyed golfing and shooting "target" practice, too. It's nice to hang out with family and celebrate the holidays together!

"Great" Pictures

Lucy is fortunate to have two sets of Great Grandparents near by. Each time she visits with them we gather pictures of her with them as she changes so fast! Here are some recent visits...

3 Month of Lucy Rae!

Lucy Rae is 3 months already! I can't believe how fast the time has gone! I miss her being an itsy-bitsy baby but am enjoying all the new things she does. Lucy likes her exersaucer, enjoys "talking" and a few laughs, going for walks without her baby seat, and lots of love and kisses! She's not a big fan of the bottle yet...but we're working on it!

Door County

Every year all the ladies in my family head to Door County for a little R&R. We enjoy the restaurants, beaches, and girl-talk every year. Throw in 3 new babies, 3 kids, an 84-year old with a thrown-out back and you've got yourself a heck of a vacation...forget the R & R! We did manage to have a few laughs and fun along the way...

Swimming Time

On Sunday we joined our friends for an afternoon of swimming at the Milwaukee Yacht Club. This was Lucy's first time swimming and swimsuit wearing! Her and her buddy Cole (future husband) took a dip together. We thought she was going to freak since she only likes really WARM water but the temperature didn't seem to bother her at all. She enjoyed being carried through the pool and even took a nap in the water. Swimming makes you tired I guess!
