Lucy's Easter Dance

Lucy loves music...anything to do with music. Whenever she hears a song on the radio, commercial jingle, or a song song by one of us (off tune) she breaks out in dance. Lucy recently acquired a new dance move...

First Vacation

We just returned from our first "Family Vacation" with a little one of our own...and we survived and had a GREAT time! Lucy and I drove down to Hilton Head with my brother and parents and Scott flew down a few days later as he could only stay for part of the trip. The trip was supposed to be 17 hours but took us about 21 on the way down and 18 on the return trip home. Lucy did surprisingly well...much better than all of us anticipated. Sam didn't do too bad himself. Lucy is definitely a BEACH BABY she loved playing in the sand (and eating it too) and enjoyed the waves and the taste of the salt water. It was fun to bike around everywhere and to not have to strap Lu into the car all the time.

10 months of Lucy

It's hard to believe it but Lucy is 10 months already! She is as busy as ever...crawling, standing, dancing all over the place...she is NEVER still. She loves music, books, bath time, and her stuffed animals. Here are a couple recent pics of little Lu...

Snowmaggedon

Well the weatherman was right this time around...we got hit with a major storm last night! Lucy and I enjoyed spending the day hanging out together. Scott, not so much...he spent close to 4 hours plowing us out of our driveway and doorways (as did most people in WI I'm guessing). We were all able to get out and enjoy the snow a little this evening.

Visit with Santa

This weekend we took Lucy to Mayfair Mall to visit Santa. We met up with Lucy's best bud Cole and his parents...good thing we like them too! I was all excited for the snow to fall over Santa's Village in the mall since it had made the news and sounded so fun. I was totally disappointed with the soap bubbles that fell from the ceiling yet other mall patrons were eating them...gross! The line was long but the kiddos did great. I wasn't sure how Lucy would react to Santa but she just stared at him like crazy...then she had a HUGE smile (but due to our lack of learning about our new camera we weren't able to capture it).

We're Back!

It's been a busy time for us the past few weeks...returning to work, getting used to daycare at Grampa's and Grandma High's house, a surprise retirement party, and holiday shopping that I totally have neglected blogging. Here are a couple pictures of what we've been up to...

Lucy's First Halloween

Yesterday was our "Little Pumpkin's" 1st Halloween. We dressed Lucy up and headed out to celebrate with my cousins' and their little ones. We enjoyed delicious chili, homemade Mac and Cheese, and apple crisp (made by me:) We trick or treated and made stops at friend's houses along the way. Of course Lucy had no idea what was going on but she did enjoying looking at all the kids and jack o'lanterns along the way!
